big JUICY gifts from the trees. 밤, 대추, 감. seeing the fruiting persimmon trees has been my favorite part of the fall.
beautiful metal patchwork quilt
people finding all sorts of spaces to grow. a patch of ginger right next to the gutter. drying a not-crazy amount of perilla seeds next to the garage. fall is the time for collecting and drying seeds, lots of sesame and perilla. the smell of 들깨 wafting wherever you wander.
i thought it was just this beautifully soft stone sculpture, turns out there's a 4-H club here. which is fine i guess but also felt a little funny. in the way this lego structure felt funny. it reads 춤, which means dance.
i don't remember the name of the plant, but i remember how fun it was to pop the little casing for seeds when my grandma showed me years ago. perfect contraption.
